‘ Salim Ahmed Ghoush’ better known as ‘Cochin HANEEFA’ was born on on 22 April 1951, is an Indian film actor, director and a screenwriter. He started his career in the 1970′s as a villain and turned to be one of the most popular comedians of Malayan film industry. He has done more than 300 Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil films.
HANEEFA died today the February 2, 2010 due to liver problem. Rumors started coming of his death even when it was not declared.
He was awarded the following state awards:-

1999 – Best Supporting Actor
