Government of India has increased Dearness Allowances for Central Government Employees to 8% of the basic pay scale for the year 2010.

The dearness allowance (DA) has been  increase to 35% from 27% of total basic salary since 1^st Jan 2010. Over 50 lacs Central Government employees will get benefit of this increase. Today Dearness allowance 2010 has been approved by Indian cabinet.

This increase will be applicable from 1 Jan 2010.
