INS Shivalik is equipped with special aerodynamics, equipments and materials which make it hard for normal radar to detect it and it’s very difficult to detect it’s movement, makes it ‘stealth frigates.’

INS Shivalik is commissioned today i.e. 29th April, 2010 in Indian Navy in Mumbai. She is named on the high hills of ‘Shivalik’ Mountains in Himalayas.

INS Shivalik is the one and only Ship to use high-strength steel developed and produced in India. Shivalik has many new feature which are now available in the current fleet of Ships. It’s latest features include better living conditions for crew, the living areas equipped with state of the art modular furnishings which are custom-designed, furnishings are Korean designed made in India by Godrej Group etc. many other comfort feature are ther in Shivalik which are exclusive to this ship.

Shivalik is alo the First Indian ship which has cabin especially built for two women officers located next to Captain’s cabin. Its aslo has many latest and most advanced equipments, systems and censors which make Shivalik stand out among other Warships.
