This phone comes from the Optimus Range of Android phones by LG. The LG Optimus GT540 runs on Android version 1.6 which is upgradeable to Android version 2.1.

The LG Optimus GT540 has 3.0 inch resistive touchscreen work on 320×480 resolutions and 65K color output. MT540 also has 3.0 MP camera with auto focus but without flash. It’s other features includes are – 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS. The new LG Optimus only comes with Google Maps, so third party application would be needed to use voice navigation feature in India.

The Optimus has 130MB of onboard memory which is expandable upto 32GB with microSD card. It also has Google Mobile services which includes applications for Gmail, Youtube and GTalk. LG Optimus can play  DivX/XviD vides files and comes with Social Networking applications for facebook, Twitter and Bebo.
