The IT Field is now free from the dark marks of recession and IT companies are now back to engineering campuses. After a recession and adverse economic condition, the year 2009-2010 saw IT companies return to campuses. Although the number haven’t still not touched the pre-recession mark but hte results are promising.
In the recent survey by Business Today magazine, which came out of the list of top recruiters at India’s Premier engineering institutes, the companies which have driven hiring at these institutes in the beginning of May 2010 as well as in the last fiscal.
Below is the List of Top Ten IT companies who have been among the biggest campus employers in engineering colleges:-
1. The software giant MICROSOFT top the list and is back to campuses and visited 25 Colleges in India including IIT’s and NIT’s.
2. Wipro comes after Microsoft who employerd 2,500 engineers.
3. Cognizant visited 75 engineering colleges for hiring talent for there technology solutions business.
4. Tata Consultancy Services country’s largest IT company, visited 371 campuses for hiring.
5. Infosys Technologies added 3,914 peoples in the last quarter.
6. Aricent has recruited some 300 people who will join company’s Chennai Development Center.
7. Oracle has added arround 72 freshers since the beginning of 2010.
8. iGate hired 35 freshers from top tech campuses across India.
9. Hewlett-Packard picked up 35 peoples from top engineering colleges.
10. US based IBM hired 179 students from countries top colleges.
